Manufacturing of temporary reactor vessel head, Ringhals
- Design and manufacturing of temporary vessel head, intended for use during outage, in cases when the reactor vessel need to be drained.
- Based on customer needs and the combination of requirements in the specification, AREVA NP Uddcomb AB invented a solution where the temporary head is delivered together with a multi-functional transport container. This solution provides functionality for e.g.:
- Connections for lifting
- Storage stands for temporary head in stand-up position.
- Transport container at delivery and further on during active transports within the industrial area
- Storage for associated equipment
- Idealistic form to allow transport through the limiting sectors as specified
- The temporary vessel head was manufactured in our own workshop in Karlskrona and delivered to Ringhals in spring 2007. The function was verified to be fully according to specification.
