O2 modernisation of feed water system
This is a ”functional responsibility” undertaking, where Uddcomb Engineering is pesponsible for everything that’needed until the plant is back on line. The project comprises mainly:
- Plant and system design with overall layout of process systems, taking into account the functions during normal operation and for safety purposes.
- Detail design, drawings and structural analyses.
- Process analyses, assesing the components and pressure drop calculations to determine reaction forces to be used as mechanical design bases.
- Installation of piping, valves, particle separators, supports and restraints. This includes mainly cutting, weld preparation, welding, testing and insulation with necessary engineering support on-site.
- Commissioning including operation manuals and procedures, training and verification of system functions and performance.
Uddcomb Engineering will as part of this project also deliver so called PARTICLE SEPARATOR, which function is to catch small debris and prevent it from entering the core where fuel could be damaged.
