Engineering works
Engineering works are characterized by involvement of single competence and work performed as a complement to customer's engineering or project department. The most common kind of engineering work is when we outsource our personnel to be placed in customer's organization as consultants.
Below we list examples of some the areas we work in:
- Design Specifications - Descriptive documents for repairs and rebuilds which shall meet demands on function, safety, environment, material, loading and design codes.
- Load Bases - Calculation of the forces that piping, components and buildings may be exposed to in different operational modes.
- Re-design of process systems - Primarily with respect to the function of a system. Security question are also considered as well as how system changes influence other parts of a nuclear power plant.
- System and Detail design - Specification of process functions. Design of piping systems, pressure retaining components and adjacent equipment. Analysis of all parts of the system. Development of the manufacturing and installation base.
- Welding Engineering - Welding procedures and configuration of material combinations and alloys. Monitoring of welding work etc.
- Re-qualification of components and systems - Structural analysis of new and re-designed components and systems. Analysis due to new regulations.
- Feasibility and Concept studies - Examination of the possibility to implement planned projects Description of geometries, costs and consequences.
