History of AREVA NP Uddcomb AB
1970
Uddcomb Sweden AB was created with the Swedish state, Uddeholms AB and Combustion Engineering in US as owners. The operation of the company was manufacturing of heavy pressure vessels, mainly reactor pressure vessels for the nuclear industry in Sweden and abroad.A new manufacturing shop was erected on the island Verkö outside Karlskrona
1981
Uddcomb Engineering was created as a division within the Uddcomb company group
1985
Uddcomb Engineering became an independent company. Uddcomb Sweden AB has now manufactured 15 reaktor pressure vessels and other heavy primary components to nuclear plants in Sweden, Finland and Germany.
1991
Management buy-out of Uddcomb Engineering AB. Karlskrona Fartygsmontage was aquired (and became later incorporated in Uddcomb Engineering).
1992
Uddcomb Sweden AB operations were closed. Uddcomb Engineering AB relocated to its current location inside the Karlskrona shipyard area.
2002
The subsidiary Uddcomb Engineering Helsingborg AB was started
2005
Uddcomb Engineering Helsingborg AB became2005 incorporated into the mother company. Uddcomb Engineering AB was aquired and became a fully owned subsidiary of the worlds leading nuclear company, AREVA NP – an AREVA and Siemens company
